Attitude:-
Physical prowess is not the goal of Yoga although your general physique
will improve. Comparing yourself and competing with others in a
class will rob you of the goal of Yoga which is happiness, wellness
and wholeness.
A much more nourishing state of being is attained by the person who looks for the subtler signs of their progress in Yoga.
Such as how am I treating myself and others? Am I kinder and more considerate to myself and others? Am I less quick to anger and to judge? Am I calmer and more loving? Do I find that my general health is much better?
The practice of Yoga is a very, very personal journey. Finding answers to the subtler questions will help you to progress much faster.
Since the condition and challenges of each persons body are as numerous as the number of people on the planet, its usually the case that only frustration is felt by those who compare their physical state to others.
